Motorcycle Insurance

As a motorcyclist, you have a different appreciation for the joy that an open road on a sunny day can bring. But you also understand the need for top-notch motorcycle insurance in BC because you face greater risks when you take to the road on a two-wheeled vehicle. Motorcycles are harder for the average driver to see in traffic, making motorcyclists more vulnerable to collisions as a result of lane changes and left-hand turns.

Insurance options

While we do sell Autoplan insurance in Vancouver for our customers, we also offer BC motorcyclists various premium private alternatives to annual motorcycle insurance coverage that provides "All Perils" physical damage insurance coverage for touring, cruising, sport touring and sport class motorcycles for riders throughout the province.

These are some of the features that make the motorcycle programs we offer a favourite with many BC riders:

  • We offer a combination of on-road and storage coverage. The policy automatically takes into consideration the seasonal use of motorcycles, so we don't restrict your on-road use to a certain period of time
  • "All Perils" annual combined coverage (Collision & Comprehensive combined)
  • Policies are written on an Agreed Value basis
  • A variety of deductible options
  • One claim forgiveness (no rating penalty)

Our private motorcycle insurance policy includes:

  • Up to $1000 of riding gear coverage is included (additional limits available upon request)
  • Travel Protection when traveling or vacationing outside your city of residence
  • $1500 to bring a damaged or recovered stolen vehicle back home
  • $1500 of travel expenses to return home
  • $500 for replacement vehicle expenses
  • $500 for additional living expenses in the event of loss or damage from an insured peril
  • Lock re-keying if keys are stolen, with no deductible
  • The policy coverage will extend to trailers towed by your motorcycle and attached accessories, provided they are included in the declared value
  • Emergency roadside assistance up to a maximum of $100 per occurrence, with no deductible

Important: Third party liability is a legal requirement for BC motorcyclists and must be purchased separately through ICBC.
